Big Screen Service For A Dark Night….

We produced this film for Uniled – a leading provider of digital signage service and repair in the UK.

An underlying narrative tells the story of a young boy who views a digital signage screen from his apartment building everyday until one evening the screen malfunctions. Through the animated medium, stylised to show the only colour on offer is that provided by the screens themselves, we show the vast numbers of repairs required throughout the city and how fast, capable and reliant Uniled are in their service. The film culminates in the young boy watching as the screen comes back to life and his obsession becomes apparent.

This film was a complicated piece as there was a narrative that had to flow under a driven corporate message. A lot of artwork was needed to create a parallax environment that kept the camera moving and a murky colour palette that is juxtaposed by the bright colours of the screens that continue to burn through the night with the help of Uniled’s exceptional services.

Duck Tales – Cutting the commercial.

Creative Bone worked with Director Alesandra Scherillo of Twinset films to create this commercial for Italian luggage designer Mandarina Duck. We spent two days cutting the commercial after an energetic shoot that tells the tale of a young girls adventure through London. An organic handheld vibe that follows our adventurer in an almost fly on the wall style, the finished result is a cute but punchy exploration of the city through the eyes of a young teen armed with all she needs in her trusty Mandarina Duck rucksack.

Whilst liaising with the group we helped to create the essence of the band’s corporate ID, also providing a hands on role with the styling, photography, plus logo design and art direction.

Excelling In Machinery Excellence

Creative Bone worked with Endoline Machinery to produce a promotional video for an up and coming exhibition as well as their website. For this particular brief we had to create a film that not only embraced the clean, clear-cut apparel of their corporate ID but also reflected upon the history of the business and focused on the company’s key brand values. By adopting the theme of a ‘Developing Idea’ we produced an animated film that experimented with a continual moving line that morphs and evolves as the video progresses and culminates in the formation of one of their machines. The main focus of the film was to provide reference to the concept of a developing idea that charts its voyage from conception to completion.

Musical Machine Madness….

We worked with Endoline machinery to produce this video production as a promotional piece for both their new website and exhibitions throughout 2016 and 2017.

The concept was that the machine was able to create a percussive accompaniment to a music track, using sounds created by the machine itself.
This was a very tricky shoot as the machine only performs certain movements at certain intervals. We started by sampling each and every element of the machine separately, importing those sounds into Logic Pro, and then creating the drum track from there. Once the drum and music track had been created, we were then able to shoot all the live action elements. As the factory is in constant use, we had to work around the size limitations by placing the machine on a white background and then, extending the set digitally, removing all the extraneous factory elements in post.

As the machines are built to construct boxes, they are very limited in their music capabilities, this meant that we had to shoot each machine part separately, opening and closing, then bring them into the edit and animate them by hand to match the music synch.

This was a very long process and with a mix of split screen as well, there is a huge amount work that goes on behind the scenes to give the impression that this little machine creates the music.

A very fun and interesting shoot, once again creating something unusual and memorable.
